How the project was born

The TETMAIS project was born to solve my problem of lack of access to the first electric lathe. By creating a portable, dual-voltage and artisanal lathe, we make this experience possible anywhere with a financially and economically accessible project. Our passion for education brought us commitment to ceramics and we invested in this process, transforming this idea into reality.

From the beginning, Marcia and Teles were dedicated to building an idea that met the practical needs of ceramists and that inspired creativity, learning, access and autonomy at the 1st lathe. TET is a hobby, an education concept materialized in a tool for artistic expression and happiness.

Our Vision

Working with the same commitment and passion that led us to create TET2021 and TETMais. We are always looking for ways to improve Torno Educativo Teles to experience the art of ceramics in a more accessible and democratic way. We believe that ceramics is art for everyone that brings happiness! We are dedicated to making this possible.

Transforming Lives with Ceramics:

Join Our Happiness Study

I'm doing a Post-Doctorate in Education, Art and History at Mackenzie University and I need answers to the Oxford Happiness Questionnaire. Participate by responding and sharing.

Goal:

In the 1st chapter I will present a business study of TET; in the 2nd chapter an analysis of narratives of people who experienced a process of transformation through art and education; in the 3rd the relevance of "clay" and in the 4th chapter a deepening of the theme of “happiness” through the analysis of ongoing field research, carried out online through the Oxford Happiness Questionnaire, seeking correlations from the approximate sample of 1000 subjects of diverse groups.

Along with the research, I will describe a possible testing protocol with Electroencephalogram that will measure the brain waves of ceramists at rest and turning to verify spectrums of happiness in the exams, if they exist, seeking to confirm or not, that happiness is perceived and confirmed in the brain waves of who makes ceramics.
